Pattaya Golf Society Home Page

Welcome to Pattaya's most popular golfing website

The O.K. Corral is situated in Rungland Village, just off South Pattaya Road, opposite the International Telecommunications Centre, South Pattaya, and is the home of the Pattaya Golf Society - originally affectionately known as the "Bunker Boys". The Pattaya Golf Society, Pattaya's oldest golf society, ranks as one of the most popular golf groups in Pattaya with competitions arranged three times each week. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we play competitions which are either stableford or medal based, in two flights, according to the handicaps of those involved. The start of the month sees a change of format with an ever popular team/pairs event arranged to break up the routine and offer players an enjoyable extra option. In addition we hold two Order of Merit events each month and the Society's annual Player of the Year is thus chosen. The Pattaya Golf Society is affiliated to the International Pattaya Golf Club (IPGC). Members comprise of long term residents and holidaymakers alike, and all are welcome, regardless of gender, age or handicap. Every month we play a selection of the twenty-one unique courses available in the area. For serious golfers the OK Corral is the ideal base and excellent ensuite accomodation is available at a very reasonable price. Course of the Month - The Plantation Golf Club

"The Siam Country Club Plantation Course is simply an amazing golf course; as the course plays as difficult as any golf course in Thailand. Nothing was spared by designer Lee Schmidt!

This 27-hole layout is routed through rolling terrain, with distant panoramic views of world renowned Pattaya Beach and the Gulf of Thailand. Formerly a tapioca and pineapple plantation, the property's geological and natural characteristics include rugged ravines bisecting its Paspalum fairways and mature trees augmented by landscape ground cover and plantings. The Plantation Course also features significant elevation changes that result in several breathtaking views of the beaches of Pattaya and the Gulf of Thailand approximately seven miles away.

The course features one difficult hole after another. Long carries, blind shots, elevated greens, undulating fairways and greens, giant high-lipped bunkers, and most of all shaved fringes on every hole are in play to challenge even the professional golfer. The distance from the tips is a long 7404 and 7495 yards, which makes the Siam Country Club Plantation Course the longest Pattaya golf course and one of the longest golf courses in Thailand.

Two nines, the par-36, 3,759-yard Tapioca and par-36, 3,645-yard Pineapple, feature Asia's first triple green. The Tapioca's seventh hole and the Pineapple's fourth and ninth holes play to a single green measuring more than 20,000 square feet (1,916 square meters) and is a unique focal point on this Pattaya golf course The green's meandering putting surface is contiguous and is divided into three distinct sections by large swales. Number seven on the Tapioca is a par-3 of 178 yards, while numbers four and nine on the Pineapple are lengthy par-4s of 490 and 469 yards, respectively.

The Sugarcane, is the Siam Country Club's third nine and a par-36, 3,736-yard layout.

Practice facilities include a grass driving range complete with pitching area, sand bunker and large practice putting greens are available for golfers wishing to “try-out” the course prior to play."
